DESCRIPTION

Sikaflex®-291i is a 1-component, non-sagging polyurethane sealant developed specifically for the marine market, which cures exposure to atmospheric moisture. Sikaflex®-291i meets the requirements set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

AREAS OF APPLICATION

Sikaflex®-291i is a multi-purpose product used in marine construction. It is suitable for making elastic and vibration resistant joints, and can also be used for a variety of interior sealing applications. Sikaflex®-291i adheres extremely well to materials commonly used in marine construction such as wood, metals, metal primers and paint coatings (2-C systems), ceramic materials and plastics (GRP, etc.). Sikaflex®-291i should not be used to seal plastics that are prone to stress cracking (e.g. PMMA. PC, Etc)

This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with real substrates and conditions should be carried out to ensure adhesion and compatibility of the material.
