Versatile abrasive flap disc on plastic plate

The SMT 325 Extra abrasive flap disc consists of a glass-fibre reinforced plastic disc. This abrasive flap disc has a wide range of applications and is available in a straight and convex version. The convex version produces a higher stock removal per unit of time than the straight version. For this reason, the convex version of this abrasive flap disc is particularly suitable for grinding edges and weld seams. The straight version is more suitable for surface grinding.

Facilitates the professional machining of steel

Klingspor abrasive flap discs from the Extra product line are distinguished by their excellent price/performance ratio. When grinding steel and stainless steel, the abrasive discs provide a good removal rate without the risk of vitrification at low application pressure. The self-sharpening zirconia alumina ensures good durability of the abrasive flap disc. It is suitable for use with commercially available angle grinders in all performance classes. However, the permissible peripheral speed in m/s must be observed during use. This figure is printed on the disc.

Extremely robust plastic plate

The glass-fibre reinforced plastic plate forms the base of the abrasive disc and ensures optimum power transmission to the workpiece. A special manufacturing process gives the abrasive flaps with zirconia alumina an extremely high level of adhesion to the base plate. This exceeds the requirements of the EN 13743 safety standard, which increases work safety. However, it is of elementary importance to use the correct personal protective equipment when working with the abrasive flap disc. This should include eye and hearing protection, a dust mask and gloves. It is also important not to work in the vicinity of flammable materials.
